Bob Fryling grew up in Philadelphia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science from Drexel University while working for Ford Motor Co. in research and development. Bob worked for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as a campus staff member, regional director, human resources director and for 14 years he was national director of campus ministries. Bob was then Publisher of InterVarsity Press for nineteen years. He also has a Master’s degree from Wheaton Graduate School in Intercultural Studies.
Bob’s interests, experience and expertise have been in areas of spiritual formation, cultural engagement and organizational leadership. He serves as a consultant and authored the book, The Leadership Ellipse: Shaping How We Lead by Who We Are.
Bob has been married to Alice for 49 years. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. Alice is a spiritual director and has authored 8 books including her latest book, Mirror for the Soul: A Christian View of the Enneagram. Bob and Alice live in Monument, Colorado
